The description of Samsung Smart Switch Mobile

Note: The Smart Switch Mobile app is installed by default on some Galaxy devices.
- Galaxy S7 / S8 / Note8 / S9 / Note9: Click [Settings]> [Cloud and Accounts]> [Smart Switch] to open the Smart Switch Mobile app.

Switch Smart Switch allows you to transfer contacts, music, photos, calendar, text messages, device settings and other
content to the new Galaxy device. Smart Switch ™ also helps you find your favorite apps or suggest similar apps on Google Play ™.

▣ Who can transfer the contents?• Owners of devices ™ TripAdvisor provides Android
- wireless transfers between the Galaxy devices: version 4.0 or later of the Android operating system
- Transfers from a compatible Android device to a Galaxy device: Android version 4.0 or later (Note that devices other than Samsung with versions earlier than Android 6.0 can only be connected to Galaxy devices that support the mobile access point.)
- Wired Transfer: Android 4.3 or later, USB charger cable, and OTG cable

• iOS ™ device owners - Use the best option:- Wired transfer from iOS device to Galaxy device: version 5.0 or later of iOS and iOS device cable ( Lightning connector (30-pin) and USB OTG cable
- Import from iCloud ™: iOS 4.2.1 or later and Apple ID

▣ What content can be transferred?- Contacts, calendar (device contents only), messages, photos, music (non DRM protected content only, not supported for iCloud), videos (DRM unprotected content only), call logs, notes, alerts, Wi-Fi network settings, wallpapers, documents, and application data (devices Galaxy only) and Home screen layouts (Galaxy devices only)
- You can send application data and home screen layouts by upgrading your Galaxy device to OS M (Galaxy S6 or later).

▣ What devices are supported?• Galaxy: Galaxy mobile and tablet devices (from Galaxy S2)
* Note: For Galaxy S2 devices, an older version of the operating system (GB / ICS) may cause incompatibility. If S2 does not work properly, please try after updating the firmware.

- To transfer data, both devices must have a minimum of 500MB free space in their internal memory.
- If you are using a wired connection, your device must support the “MTP” USB file transfer option to allow content transfer.
- If you have a non-Samsung device that is constantly disconnected from the wireless network, go to the advanced Wi-Fi settings on your device, turn off the “Wi-Fi configuration” and “Weak Wi-Fi signal disconnect” options, then try again .
